Refugees in Calais and Dunkirk
The Assc thanks Wolverton Super Market, Prime Foods, Westcroft CC, Pound Stretchers for the very generous donations at very short notice for the Refugees in Calais and Dunkirk!
In the pouring rain distributing clothes, blankets, food, baby items, and other essential items.
A real sad state of affairs with thousands of impoverished people relying on the charity of others especially the French, and English.
Not much in the way of governmental support albeit they have taken in the refugees, and set aside land for them to put up their tents. It would be beneficial if the land could have a weather proof surface or tarmaced to avoid it turning into mud.
I was upset to meet a family who have a little baby living in a makeshift tent which is flooded. I did not want to take the photo but the father insisted so that their plight can be highlighted.
All the people I spoke to were extremely happy with the generosity of the British, and wanted me to thank you all on their behalf.
Surely as a country we can take more refugees especially children to alleviate some of the suffering.
We should always be thankful for everything you have in life thank to Allah.
