Milton Keynes Allama Iqbal Supplementary School
The first Urdu supplementary school in Milton Keynes for students aged between 6 and 16 with the aim of achieving GCSE.
The purpose of Milton Keynes Allama Iqbal Urdu Supplementary School (MKAUISS) is to provide a facility for anyone who wants to learn Urdu from beginner’s level to advanced. Urdu language skills are taught through speaking, reading and writing and each skill is assessed termly.
Not only do the students have the opportunity to learn the Urdu language but also the rich and diverse cultures, traditions and heritage of Pakistan and its people.
MKAUISS is a non-profit organization offering a transparent practice and ran by volunteers.
An executive member of PKMWA played a major part when the school officially opened in September 2013 introducing many children as well as teachers.
Classes are held Saturday's between 10am and 12pm at the Radcliffe School Wolverton all the volunteer teachers are DBS checked and attend regular training.
